The Red Crabapple is a deciduous tree. It has a moderate growth rate with a mature height approximately 20 feet high and a 20 foot spread. Foliage is deep red-maroon turning to green with red veins. The flower blossoms are long lasting and deep dark pink-red. The fruit is small reddish-purple 1/4"-1/2" in size and does not drop. The trees shape is upright becoming rounded.
